The West Elk Bicycle Classic (WEBC), is sure to be a challenging and epic ride for road cyclists. The race is a fundraiser for the Western State Colorado University Mountain Sports Team, which offers students the opportunity to compete in mountain adventure sports.
This demanding 134 mile course is a timed tour climbing to 9,300ft from Gunnison to Crested Butte via the ‘scenic-route’ through the West Elk Mountains. The ride finishes with a 25 mile, 5400 foot climb over the Kebler pass to Crested Butte which begins around the 100 mile mark. Once riders reach the top of Kebler Pass,  they will coast down into Crested Butte for a celebration on Elk Avenue.
