Real Estate in Gunnison County continued an upward trend throughout 2017 and following is a snap shot of stats:
Residential
-Total Gunnison County transactions was 570 units for a dollar volume
of $292,519,992-up 25% over 2016
-Total Crested Butte area transactions was 304 units for a dollar volume
of $205,766,331-up 28% over 2016
-Total Gunnison area transactions was 266 units for a dollar volume
of $86,753,661-up 19% over 2016
Luxury Home transactions was 54 units for a dollar volume of $97,536,348
Land
-Total Gunnison County transactions was 272 parcels for a dollar volume
of $49,262,082-up 63% over 2016
-Total Crested Butte area transactions was 121 sales for a dollar volume
of $32,237,939-up 70% over 2016
-Total Gunnison area transactions was 151 sales for a dollar volume
of $17,024,143-up 51 % over 2016
As you can see, vacant land has experienced a hot market in all areas and new construction is visible throughout the county. I have begun to notice a lot more public hearings related to building permit approvals and it appears to look like it will be another busy summer for contractors.
And in Residential Real Estate, transactions in the Crested Butte area were
up 8% and in the Gunnison areas was even with 2016; the
average sales price rose 18%.
